The Advantages of Buying a Used Vehicle
Posted on 26. Feb, 2009 by admin.
Shopping for a used vehicle in the past often came with the stigma of used vehicle salesmen trying to sell a lemon to an unsuspecting customer. Luckily we have advanced to an era where used vehicles provide an option to those people shopping for a car that are looking to get the most bang for their buck.
There are many advantages to buying a used vehicle:
· Used vehicles are often lower in price, which means that when it comes time for you to sell the vehicle you lose less money. There is truth the statement that a vehicle depreciates the moment it is driven from the lot of the dealership.
· Many used vehicles are covered through warranties through the factory, warranties through the dealership and warranties that are available through third party insurance companies. This way, a used vehicle can have new vehicle coverage.
· Used vehicles do not depreciate as much as new vehicle choices.
· The payments for used vehicles are lower and cheaper financing rates are available if buying a used vehicle through a dealership.
· When buying a used vehicle, the price can be bargained a little more than buying a new vehicle.
· The history can be determined of a used vehicle – which can increase the safety of the vehicle and decrease the chances of being sold a lemon.

From Parts To Perfection
Posted on 27. Jan, 2009 by admin.
I have written many articles in the past about the precision and amazingly speed that robots operate at in order to get thousands of car parts together to form one joint, solid, functioning item. It really is amazing that we have come so far, in such a short period of time. With so little human input into the car assembly process these days, the question must surely be asked - what happens if something goes wrong? What happens if a robot accidentally misses the correct place to weld, and this is not picked up by the on board laser machines? What happens if other car parts fail to attach themselves to the body of the car in the correct manner, and yet the production process continues? After all - are robots are trustworthy as people?
To answer the latter question - technology has evolved so much recently that actually - yes, robots can be as, or even more reliable than humans. Now to address the previous questions - what if something goes wrong? Well, you will be pleased to know that whilst human interaction in the assembly process has been reduced - it is still present for this exact reason. Humans check everything that the robots do, and this is how we go from parts, to perfection.

Using Second Hand Car Parts
Posted on 17. Jan, 2009 by admin.
If you’ve ever come across the need to have a car part replaced, you will know that buying spare parts in brand new condition costs an absolute fortune. It’s true that manufacturers attempt to reimburse themselves and boost profit margins by charging more than usual for individual car parts. What I mean by this is - if you added up the retail replacement cost of each car part separately, the total you came to at the end of the process would be almost 1.5 times the cost of an actual car, made from those same car parts.
This brings up the question - is it really worth replacing parts with identical new ones? Is it not possible to save money by purchasing second hand, identical car parts? The answer of course is yes - and actually, many more people than you may think currently do this. Recently, I had my car window smashed, and the interior of my door slashed (long story). When I took it in for repair, the brand new manufacturers car park replacement was exactly twice as expensive as another second hand part - which to me looked exactly the same! Clearly, there is a money saving opportunity here.

Insurance On Individual Car Parts
Posted on 01. Jan, 2009 by admin.
Did you know that it is possible to get insurance coverage on both your car, and some individual car parts? Obviously, even though this is a possibility, most people won’t have any need whatsoever to purchase this type of policy. For car enthusiasts and collectors however, the car parts insurance can provide invaluable protection to priceless, valuable, or sentimental car parts and accessories. To be honest, this type of insurance works in exactly the same way as most other insurance policies out there. You sign up for the policy with your “provider”, pay premiums frequently, and are therefore covered should anything adverse happen to the particular part insured.
Most of you will be wondering - if I have 5 different car parts that I need to gain insurance protection on, do I need to take out 5 separate policies? The answer of course is - no. Basically, car parts insurance is there to cover as many individual parts as is required, as ls long as you declare each and every one before you sign the policy document. The more car parts covered under a particular policy, the higher the premiums will be, so take this in to consideration when deciding on car parts insurance.
